APPSC Polytechnic Lecturer Exam Preparation Guidance

Dear Aspirant,
Paper 1 syllabus is same as of other APPSC exams.
For paper 1 preparation
1) Take any coaching institute(RC Reddy/ ACE/  Sai Medha etc..) notes Xerox which was taught for any APPSC exam like AEE
2) Prepare stock GK from previous papers and GK Today App

This is the link to GK today app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gktoday.currentaffairs&hl=en_IN

3) Prepare last 6 months current affairs from Shine India magazine

4) Prepare the GS from any one material you feel comfort (If you are new to GS then prepare ACE notes) and make a summary notes. By revising this summary notes daily, practice with previous papers. While practicing previous papers, If you find any particular topic is not covered in the book you have read, then you can prepare those topics from other books.

In paper2 you have to answer 150 questions in 150 minutes. So majority questions will be asked on fundamentals. Revise formulas well.Paper 2 syllabus is completely changed. Paper 2 syllabus is almost GATE syllabus. So previous papers doesn't give benefit. Instead of wasting time for those previous papers, practice GATE 1 mark questions and IES previous papers. For technical Instead of starting newly, Make summary notes from the text books you have prepared in Engineering and also make summary notes from the material you have read from any coaching institute. Now practice previous IES/ESE Objective papers (As per Syllabus of Polytechnic Lecturers exam)& also back side bits of standard text books. While practicing IES/ESE previous papers if you find some topics are not yet covered in your preparation then for that particular topics you can refer new books(Either standard text books or ACE/MADE EASY Noteses/ ECET Material).

Revise more the summary noteses you have written for Paper 1 & Paper 2 and practice objectives. That is sufficient.

Cut off for this exam depends on factors like category, zone etc. I am attaching 2013 exam ECE merit list, with this merit list you can assess cutoff. But for the last exam we didn't have any negative marks. Now negative marks are there. So cutoff will be less compared to previous exam.
